As the US heads into the 2024 elections, liberal commentators and Democratic party functionaries try, yet again, to present the choice between two nearly identical capitalist parties as a fundamental struggle between fascism and democracy. Personalized politics obscures the larger, more profound structural crises of the imperialist epoch – climate change, neofeudalizing capitalism, and genocide.
