Truls Lie has a background as a newspaper and magazine editor – for 30 years. He is the editor of the ‘cinepolitical’ documentary magazine Modern Times Review (since 2017). Since 2015 he has been editor of NY TID (modern times), a Norwegian quarterly non-fiction printed book magazine. As a filmmaker he also creates essayistic documentaries. He is now working on the feature “TOGETHER – Palestine: From Violence to Vision”. Lie was the previous publisher and editor-in-chief of Morgenbladet in Oslo (1993–2003) and Le Monde diplomatique (2003-2013). He was also editor of the DOX magazine by EDN for 4 years.

Margot Mecca is an Italian programmer, producer and researcher based in Barcelona.
Since 2011, she has been working at the Festival dei Popoli – International Documentary Film Festival; she is a member of the selection committee and runs the professional platform Doc at Work.Since 2021, she has been a member of the selection committee for Majordocs – International Documentary Film Festival. Between 2022 and 2025, she collaborated with Visions du Réel, coordinating the Opening Scenes Lab. Since 2023, she has been working for FID Marseille, where she is the artistic and educational coordinator of FIDCampus. She is also artistic co-director of FEST at the +RAIN Film Festival, which is dedicated to experimental cinema created using generative AI. In 2025, she joined the selection committee of Punto de Vista – International Documentary Film Festival. As a producer, she works internationally as a freelancer and consultant on non-fiction and fiction film projects.

Sara Simić is a film critic, researcher, and curator whose work focuses on film and artistic practices of East and Southeast Asia. She currently contributes to easternKicks, Zona filma, and Asian Movie Pulse, where she publishes essays, reviews, and critical texts. Since 2019, she has been a contributor to Dokumentarni.net, where she launched the column Eastern Horizons, the first regional essay series dedicated to the cinemas of East and Southeast Asia. Her work has also appeared in Kurziv, DOK Revue (Jihlava IDFF), and other international publications. As a member of the Croatian Association of Film Critics (HDFK), she is one of the organizers of the project Criticism and Society, within which she curated the 2024 program Film and Curatorial Practices of East and Southeast Asia. She has also co-organized several film programs, including (Un)Taming (in collaboration with the This is Short platform) and a program dedicated to Yugoslav experimental filmmakers (organized by the Office for Photography and Gallery Spot). In 2025, she curated the solo exhibition of Indonesian multimedia artist Riar Rizaldi titled Transmedia Film Practice: Tellurian Drama.
